CHSE Odisha: Exam Date, Marksheet and Certificates

What CHSE Odisha does

According to CHSE's About page, the Council was established in 1982 under the Odisha Higher Secondary Education Act 1982, and its administrative work began on 7 September 1982. It is an autonomous body under the School and Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha.

• It sets the +2 syllabus.
• It conducts the +2 board exams (AHSE) and the Instant and Improvement exams.
• It publishes results.
• It handles affiliation of Higher Secondary Schools.

CHSE does not run college admissions. After +2, degree (+3) admission happens through SAMS (Student Academic Management System), a separate state portal. Our guide on what SAMS Odisha is explains the difference. SAMS also lists a "Correspondence (CHSE)" option in its course menu.

AHSE 2026 exam dates and admit cards

CHSE published the "Programme for Annual Higher Secondary Examination, 2026" on 3 December 2025. That PDF is a scanned image, so our researchers could not read every date from it. Here is what is confirmed:

A CHSE corrigendum dated 09.12.2025 moved the Day-15 papers (Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Urdu, Sanskrit, Alternative English) from 11.03.2026 to 23.03.2026. It also moved the Logic paper and some Vocational Paper-IV subjects from 21.03.2026 to 25.03.2026. Some outlets printed a different end date, but the official corrigendum's last date is 25.03.2026.

Admit cards were downloaded by schools after the 19 December 2025 notice. Students collect them from their school, not from random websites.

CHSE result 2026 in brief

The +2 result 2026 was declared on 20 May 2026, as reported. The overall pass rate was 85.85%, with Science at 88.80%, Commerce at 88.07%, Arts at 84.50% and Vocational at 77.62% (news figures). Full details, how to check and stream-wise comparison with 2025 are on our CHSE 12th result 2026 page.

To check a result, start from the CHSE site. Its "Results" quick link points to results.odisha.gov.in, and its footer links to orissaresults.nic.in. Results are free. Never pay a website to see a result.

On 17 June 2026, CHSE also published "Category-wise Cut-off marks of top 20 Percentile in Science Stream of AHSE, 2026, 2025 & 2024". This is a board document about percentiles, not a college admission cut-off. College cut-offs are explained in our SAMS cut-off marks guide.

Marksheets, certificates and the CHSE Portal

Many students search for "CHSE marksheet download" or "CHSE e-despatch". Here is what the official sources say.

• Originals through school: CHSE's notice of 11 June 2026 says original certificates, mark sheets, migration certificates and TR for AHSE 2026 were distributed from 16.06.2026 at the CHSE Head Office in Bhubaneswar and Zonal Offices at Berhampur, Baripada and Sambalpur. Schools send an authorised official to collect them. You then collect yours from your Higher Secondary School.
• DigiLocker: digital marksheets were available on DigiLocker in 2026, as reported.
• CHSE Portal: chse.odisha.gov.in describes itself as a one-stop digital interface under the Odisha Right to Public Services Act. It lists marksheet verification, certificate verification, migration certificate issuance, re-addition of marks, provisional certificate or marksheet issuance and authentication of original certificates.
• E-despatch: our researchers found no official CHSE page mentioning an "e-despatch" portal. Treat unknown "edespatch" sites with caution.

1. Ask your Higher Secondary School when the originals have arrived.
2. Collect them in person and check your name, date of birth and marks.
3. If something is wrong, ask the school to raise it with CHSE, or look for the correction or verification service on the CHSE Portal.
4. Keep photocopies and a scan on your phone for SAMS and college admission.

Re-checking and Instant exam: quick summary

For AHSE 2026, CHSE's notice set re-checking and re-addition at Rs 200 per paper, paid through SBI Collect, with an online window of 01.06.2026 to 12.06.2026. The Instant exam (for those who passed in aggregate with 210 marks but failed one subject) and the Improvement exam were held on 3 July 2026 (theory) and 4 July 2026 (practical). Fees were Rs 600 (Instant) and Rs 800 (Improvement). Results came on 29 July 2026, as reported. The step-by-step process is on our CHSE result page.

AHSE 2027: enrolment and form fill-up

The next exam cycle has started. CHSE issued a notice dated 25 September 2026 on "Enrollment of Regular & Form Fillup of Ex-Regular Candidates" for AHSE 2027, covering Arts, Commerce, Science and Vocational streams including CC.

• Ex-regular form fill-up: 1 to 9 October 2026, as reported by OdishaBytes. CHSE later extended the deadline without fine from 09.10.2026 to 12.10.2026 "in view of the ensuing College Election", per an official notice.
• Regular student enrolment: 26 October to 11 November 2026, with fee payment through SBI Collect from 27 October to 16 November 2026, as reported by OdishaBytes.
• Exam dates 2027: no official AHSE 2027 timetable had been found as of 16 October 2026. Do not trust any date you see until CHSE publishes it.

Enrolment is done through your Higher Secondary School. Ask your school for the exact steps and fee.
