BSE Odisha 10th result 2026: key numbers

The BSE Odisha site shows that the Annual HSC result 2026, SOSC 2026 (1st) and Madhyama 2026 results were published on 2 May 2026. School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond released them, as reported by ETV Bharat.

OrissaPOST reported 5.44 lakh registered students, 8,364 absent and 17,055 failed. Girls who passed numbered 2,63,152 and boys 2,56,099. Exams were held at over 3,000 centres.

For comparison, the 2025 pass percentage was 94.93%, down from 96.07% in 2024, as reported by OdishaBytes. The 2025 result also came out on 2 May.

One new change in 2026: the board issued matriculation certificates in both Odia and English for the first time, as reported by ETV Bharat.

How to check the BSE 10th result

Results are free. Start from the board's own site so you do not land on a fake page.

1. Open bseodisha.ac.in.
2. Look for the "Annual HSC Result" link for 2026. It usually opens a result page hosted by the board's partner on indiaresults.com. That is normal, but reach it only through the BSE site, not from search ads or forwarded links.
3. Enter your roll number and any other detail the page asks for. The exact fields were not confirmed by our researchers, so keep your admit card with you.
4. Check your name, subjects and marks, then save a screenshot or print.

OrissaPOST reported that results could be checked from 7 pm on result day on bseodisha.ac.in and bseodisha.nic.in. If the page looks different, return to the BSE home page and look for the latest result link.

Some websites list SMS codes for the result. These were not confirmed by any official page, so we do not recommend relying on them.

Download the digital pass certificate

BSE's official 2026 instructions PDF explains how to download a digitised certificate.

1. Go to bsedigicertificate.odisha.gov.in or the BSE site, with your admit card and mobile phone ready.
2. Open "Search Your Certificate" and choose the exam type (AHSC, MADHYAMA or SOSC) and year 2026.
3. Enter your date of birth, roll number and mobile number, then tap "Send OTP" and enter the OTP you receive. Enter this OTP only on the official page, never give it to anyone.
4. Click "Download Your Certificate" to get the PDF.

Fee: the download is free within 7 days of the result. Charges apply after that, per the same PDF.

WhatsApp option: the official PDF also lists a chatbot. Save 7710058192, send "Hi" or "BSE", and follow the prompts. Make sure you are chatting with that exact number.

Checking addition of marks and scanned copies

For 2026, the BSE site shows that the application for checking addition of marks opened on 11 May 2026 at apps.bseodisha.ac.in/rechecking2026. That page now says the application is closed.

The 2026 fees were not found. For reference, the official 2025 fees were:

• Subjective paper with scanned copy: Rs 300 per paper (2025).
• Objective (OMR) paper with scanned copy: Rs 200 per paper (2025).
• Addition check only: Rs 100 per paper (2025).

In 2025, students requested a password using roll number and mother's name, verified their mobile, selected subjects, paid online and downloaded an acknowledgement receipt. Without that receipt, the application was treated as not submitted. Expect a similar process next year, but follow the new year's instructions.

Supplementary exam 2026

Students who did not pass could take the supplementary HSC exam. According to the BSE site, applications for supplementary HSC 2026 and SOSC 2026 (2nd) opened on 9 May 2026 through the official form page. Admit cards came on 25 June 2026 and the result was published on 12 August 2026.

As reported by an education portal (Aakash), the supplementary exams ran from 2 to 10 July 2026, with 5,760 appearing and 3,666 passing (63.64%). Treat these numbers as reported.

If you passed the supplementary exam, check SAMS for any +2 or ITI admission round still open. Ask the college or the SAMS helpline about late rounds.

Next step: +2 admission through SAMS

After Class 10, most students apply for +2 (Class 11) through SAMS on samsodisha.gov.in, under Higher Secondary School (+2). The official +2 FAQ says all candidates who passed the HSC exam can apply. In 2026, as reported by OdishaBytes:

• CAF window: 26 May 2026 (11 am) to 30 June 2026 (11:45 pm).
• CAF fee: Rs 200 General, Rs 100 SC/ST (the official FAQ also lists Rs 0 for PwD above 40%, transgender and orphan applicants).
• Streams: Arts, Science, Commerce, Vocational and Sanskrit (Upashastri).
• First selection 8 July 2026, second selection 23 July 2026, then spot admission, as reported.

Other routes after Class 10: Diploma (polytechnic) admission needs HSC or equivalent per the draft 2026-27 brochure, and ITI admission also runs on SAMS.
